I have been a self employed Early Years and Childcare Business consultant since 2011, prior to this I worked for Bolton Early Years for over 5 years and Blackburn with Darwen Early years 9 years. I have worked for the Pre-school Learning Alliance (PsLA) as a tutor, project worker and volunteer and for the National day nurseries association (NDNA) as a tutor and business consultant.

I started my career training to be a nursery nurse, I became a registered childminder before opening and operating a pre-school and private day nursery. After selling the nursery I became the manager of a private day nursery and then a voluntary managed nursery. Along the way I gained qualifications in childcare and management.

I trained as a further education tutor and NVQ assessor, providing training on accredited and short courses and assessing NVQ students across the North West and North Yorkshire.

I gained the prestige of Chartered Manager in 2007 and have maintained the status. I gained the Institute of Consulting Level 5 Business support in 2014
