Quentin started his first business (a courier company called QPL Express Couriers) in 1979. It was eventually sold to Securicor. During this time Quentin developed and built an accounting software package for the company that eventually led to his second enterprise: Apricote Studios, a software company writing independently for the Acorn computer platform and delivering accounting software to small enterprises. Quentin won two national awards in 1995 and 1996 with this company. In 1998, Quentin wrote the book 'Accounting for Everyone' to help small business owners and startups understand modern accounting and this was subsequently developed into an online application still going today with a membership of over 12,000. In 1999 Quentin founded British software company Accountz. The company's software was sold through PC World, Staples, Amazon and throughout Europe in 53 Apple Stores. Quentin won 3 MacWorld nominations in 2007, 2009, and 2011 for Best Productivity Software. Quentin also looked after the Accountz enterprise support program helping over 36,000 small businesses. Quentin joined the IoEE in 2012 and became a certified mentor. He became a Fellow of the IoEE in 2015. Quentin now runs ProofMEDIA, a company dedicated to helping its clients become number one in their market through strategy, content, coaching and mentoring. Quentin is a published Dummies author, and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He won the IAB Small Business Mentor of the Year Award in 2013. Quentin was part of the GoGlobal mission to China in Oct 2015 that included Lord Maude, the Minister of State for Trade and Investment.
